Three Strong Flags: Start of the Day

Flags

Hello, everyone who managed to look at this website! This is Antwain Rushad Oliver Jr. My class has a Lab Activity where I have to prepare original content (text, images, logo, etc.) At least 500 words per page. Original text, no copy-paste, no AI content, and similar. I have something to admit, and just as a heads up, I'm going to preface this for each of these pages: I'm a simple guy. I don't know how to put a simple image into words, let alone *500*! But trust me. I'll try. I'll go into detail about the scenery, details, places, and such. It might feel repetitive at some points, but I'll try to give notice to even minor details, as well as my life experiences at these areas while taking pictures of them.

College can be a beautiful place when you look around. I live nine minutes down the road from here, so it takes a while for me to walk there. When I do, however, I'm greeted with a calming sight. Both when I enter, and when I exit. These flags have differing symbols on them, and they represent different things about the college.

Let's start with the symbolism. The flag on the left is Pennsylvania's state flag, and the flag in the middle is the american flag, which are easy to understand. They both show where the school is at, and also function as a landmark if you're lost. But what about the last flag? It's a little hard to make out...

If you're able to get a good look at it, that's the flag representing the college itself. Wait--that's right! I never told you the name of the college. Sorry about that. The name of the college originally was the "California University of Pennsylvania" (or "CalU" for short). Or at least that was for my first two semesters. Over time the name changed. The flag says that it's "PennWest University".

So now you know all the flags and what they represent. This sight is usually a sign that I'm two thirds of the way to my desired class. I say that because most of the classes I take are in Helsel Hall. Usually there are exceptions, like if a class is actually near the flags, or if I take an online class (meaning I don't walk by them). But the point is still the same. I think it's a good landmark.

The most prominent thing about this picture is the sky. It was a clear day with only a few clouds. The picure was taken in the afternoon. This might've been either as I was leaving class, or me just getting a few pictures to edit for a photography class. Besides all of that, I don't know how else to describe the picture. It's calming, has rthe 3 flags, and is a decent land mark... for me at least. Unfortunately, I need at *least* 500 words, as previously established. So I'm just using these last two sentences as an excuse to write the 20 words I have left.
