Canada

Our neighbor to the north is beauteous, and for me, a rather undiscovered portion of the world. I had only been to Toronto as a child on a trip with my dad. Always wanting to return, and explore the wilderness. Luckily, in years to come I had an opportunity to spend a week or so over the summer with a few friends of mine. Our destination for this trip would take us over to Alberta, one of the 13 Canadian provinces. Located above the central to mid western region of our country is where you'll find this province.

We flew into Calgary, the nearest city for our destination of the Banff National Park. Located about an hour or so west of Calgary. The views here are absolutely iconic. Lake Louise is a very popular tourist destination. The water is so clear, simply breathtaking. It's reminiscent of water in tropical destinations with its clarity alone. Approximately 3.6 million visitors come annually to check out the National Park, and Lake Louise.

The region itself houses only about 10,500 residents. Coming out to be around 340 visits for every resident. My friends and I really enjoyed our time out in these region of the world. Everyone that we happened to come across was very kind and out going, the same can be said for all the locals. They were hospitable and very kind, this isn't necessarily always the case with others when you travel, some can be a bit more taken back but here, everyone seemed very open to assisting others.

The mountains ranges were some of my favorite that I had ever seen. Very ideal for photography, massive and rocky, with snow in certain regions. They appeared to be bigger in size then the Rocky Mountains.

Banff

Though my time in Banff didn't last nearly as long as I had hoped forI made the most of my time, prioritizing to get the best use of my timespent. One of my favorite memories of the trip was when we went kayaking through Lake Louise. The water is pretty still, and everything is so scenic. I don't think that I will ever forget that trip.

We stayed close by throughout the trip, so we had a chance to enjoy some of the local cultures. The food was all quite good, everything all seemed to be very fresh, and less processed then what we are used to eating with our diets here.

I had a vey enjoyable time overall, and I would definitely recommend coming out here to anyone looking for an outdoors related vacation, there is much to see and do.
